Its lights are reflected in the dark water, creating a dynamic line that leads the eye into the composition. The city skyline rises majestically in the background. Skyscrapers with illuminated windows rise into the night sky, with two particularly tall buildings dominating the silhouette. The colour scheme of the painting is predominantly in various shades of blue, from deep navy blue to bright cyan.
