Woman with eyes closed

"This striking profile portrait captures a moment of profound internal peace and majestic presence. The subject, an Afro-descendant woman with closed eyes, radiates a sense of sacred quietude, as if lost in a deep, spiritual dream. A brilliant, structured golden garment frames her face, contrasting beautifully with the velvety texture of her dark skin and the soft, ethereal violet glow that emanates behind her. Created with pastel, the work explores the intersection of cultural identity and celestial light, inviting the viewer to appreciate the silent dignity and the 'invisible' beauty found in moments of absolute calm. It is a celebration of grace, rendered with a focus on the harmony between bold geometric shapes and delicate human features."
