GALICIAN BLONDE

This unique artwork emerges from the fusion of sculpture, painting, and artistic ornamentation, transforming an animal skull into a one-of-a-kind creation. Each piece is born from a profound respect for the animal, giving its remains a second life and transforming what the earth has reclaimed into an object imbued with symbolism, beauty, and power.

Decorate your home with an exclusive, one-of-a-kind work of art. More than a decorative object, this skull represents a sacred totem, a connection to ancestral traditions that honoured animals through art and recognised their inseparable bond with nature.

The cow symbolises abundance, nourishment, patience, and the serene strength of the earth. It represents the ability to sustain, protect, and nurture, as well as the prosperity that grows from calmness, perseverance, and generosity.

Its presence in the home evokes stability, balance, fertility, and a deep connection to the earth, becoming a symbol of harmony with nature and respect for the natural cycles of life.

Since ancient times, different cultures have preserved and embellished animal remains as a way of honouring their memory and keeping their symbolism alive. These practices went beyond mere ornamentation: bones could acquire spiritual and protective significance, representing the continuity of life and the sacred bond between humankind and the natural world.

Composition and Technique

A Galician cow skull, sealed with white clay and meticulously hand-painted in oils using different shades that evoke the metallic alloys of bronze and gold. The composition is completed with a central ornamental mosaic, adding depth, texture, and character to the piece.

The artwork is finished with a protective layer of varnish, enhancing the nuances of the paint and helping preserve its artistic finish.

A singular creation where ancestral memory, contemporary art, and the untamed spirit of the earth converge.
