Alienation — Yellow Face in Plum

A yellow face contrasts with a plum-colored figure and background. Pink lines descend through the composition, crossing a pale horizontal band behind the arms. Dark gestures at the sides and near the lower body give the otherwise restrained arrangement a sense of unresolved tension.

An original work by Gela Mikava from the Alienation series, painted with acrylic and oil on fabric. The series explores human presence, anonymity and emotional distance.
