Artwork details

Limited-edition conceptual digital art exploring the politics of technological progress, presented as an archival fine-art giclée print on semi-gloss paper, mounted and framed in black, with a certificate of authenticity.

The Architecture of Nowhere explores the paradox of technological progress through an intricate network of interlocking railway arches, where locomotives travel along intersecting tracks within a seemingly impossible architectural landscape. Inspired by the visual paradoxes of M.C. Escher, the composition transforms familiar industrial forms into a minimalist meditation on perspective, direction and the systems we construct in pursuit of the future.

Created as a digital art illustration, the artwork challenges the assumption that humanity’s technological future is an inevitable destination towards which we are being carried, asking instead who is building the tracks, who determines their direction, and whether the destination serves humanity at all..
