Metamorphosis of the Soul — Portrait with Butterflies

Artwork details

Butterfly forms cross a layered face set against pink, above a striped red and pale lower field. Contrasting eyes and overlapping facial passages make the image feel multiple rather than fixed. This original portrait by Gela Mikava explores transformation through the interplay of human features, insect silhouettes and expressive painted color.
