Artwork details
This painting presents a detail of the Virgin Mary inspired by the original painting "the Annunciation" by Luca Giordano. A young Virgin in a vivid red-orange robe and deep blue mantle turns upward, one hand at her chest and the other extended, while a winged figure enters from the left with a white lily. A lectern and open book anchor the right side, against a soft ochre and gray background with fluid, layered brushwork.
