Este es mi yerno, Hans, quien es casado con mi hija menor, Jörand. Le tengo un gran afecto desde luego no tan solo por ser mi amigo y yerno sino también por su carácter fuerte como hombre de trabajo incansable y por su total honestidad. Es dueño y operador de una constructora de viviendas y edificios en la ciudad turística de Veracruz. Ha demostrado ser un gran empresario a quien le ha ido bien a pesar de la crisis económica que abate el mercado de la construcción en México. Aparte de dedicarse a sus negocios también encuentra tiempo para ser un excelente esposo de su compañera y padre de familia de dos hijos. Esta pintura es la cuarta de una serie de retratos que pienso realizar exclusivamente de mi familia en México y los Estados Unidos.

This is my son-in-law, Hans, who is married to my youngest daughter, Jörand. I appreciate him not only because he is my friend and son-in-law but also because of his strong character as an untiring young man who is not afraid of hard work and because of his proven honesty. He owns and operates a construction firm in the touristic City of Veracruz. He?s shown himself to be a fine business man who has been successful in spite of the economic crisis which has done so much harm to the construction market in Mexico. In addition to dedicating himself to his business interests he also finds time to be a good husband to his wife and father to his two children. This painting is the forth in a series of portraits that I will be doing from time to time exclusively of my Mexican and my American family.
