Still Here, Still Fading — Black Abstract Portrait

Artwork details

A fragmented face appears within a broad black field above a striped lower section. Faint handwriting and scattered pale marks interrupt the darkness. This original abstract portrait by Gela Mikava explores the persistence of an image as its features recede, bringing text, concealment and traces of human presence into the same composition.
