Surrounded by Eyes — Abstract Portrait in Grey

A fragmented face in pink, turquoise, ochre and dark passages occupies the center of a grey field scattered with isolated eyes. Long drips connect the surrounding gazes to the painted surface, while smaller facial forms gather above the head. This original abstract portrait by Gela Mikava explores the tension between seeing and being seen, bringing a divided identity into a space of repeated observation. Acrylic on canvas, 2019. Dimensions: 120 × 120 cm.
