Artwork details
A dark purple face and long neck rise against a lavender field. Bright yellow earrings create a strong vertical frame, contrasting with the subdued facial features. This original abstract portrait by Gela Mikava turns color, concealment and adornment into a study of presence, where a recognizable human form resists becoming a fixed likeness.
