Part of the JARDÍN (Garden) series, this work explores the concept of suspension in a dialectical counterpoint to the organic tensions found in earlier pieces such as Jardín Colapsado (Collapsed Garden). By treating the canvas as a gravitational void, the bodily forms shed their physical anchors to float freely. Layers of acrylic paint overlay warmth and shadow, transforming the sensuality of anatomical lines into pure botanical abstraction. The piece eschews recognizable figuration to liberate the body’s energy and volume within an environment where the laws of physics cease to apply. The lower section of the composition deliberately foregoes color; it is an absolute void rendered through a fluid ejection of gesso—acting as a generative matrix, a record of performative action, and a plane of conceptual silence.
