"Jardín Prohibido" conceives the garden as a place where memory, desire, and identity are in constant transformation. Part of the JARDÍN series, the work transforms the human body into a fragmented landscape where traces of art history and anatomy are reconfigured into a new visual territory. Built upon successive layers of gesso and translucent acrylic glazes, the painting dissolves the boundaries between the physical and the psychological. Rather than depicting a recognizable body, it reveals a shifting cartography of identity, where each fragment retains the echo of an origin while inviting the viewer into a space of mystery, tension, and silent metamorphosis.
