Secret Garden explores the tension between revelation and concealment. Built up through successive layers of gesso and translucent violet glazes, the work gradually buries its origins. Forms emerge and fade beneath the surface, leaving behind only traces of what was once clearly visible. The composition revolves around a hidden core from which subtle structures radiate—resembling memories, waterways, roots, or bodily pathways. The painting invites the viewer to look beyond the visible image and delve into the accumulated history of its layers. Words, marks, and gestures are partially concealed within the paint itself, transforming the act of hiding into the work's central theme. Rather than depicting a secret, Secret Garden becomes a physical record of secrecy, memory, and disappearance. The result is a silent landscape of traces, where absence holds as much significance as presence.
