Sogno di un filo teso

A deep, dense green field is crossed by fine white incised lines that bend slightly under an invisible weight. Small pale squares rest on them like signal buoys, while a large crimson mass breaks in from below and changes the temperature and balance of the whole territory. Tracing those lines meant holding my breath: a millimetre of deviation and the tension would have collapsed. Each groove keeps its physical condition, an interruption of the paint whose vibration can shift the entire painting. Near the lowest line, the red tears into the dark in a knot I did not plan and still do not fully understand. The painting holds a relationship between weight and suspension, between what seems to hold and what could give way.
