Heaven and earth are two seemingly contradictory perspectives: You can look at everything from the point of view of an ant, or you can raise your perspective to a bird's eye view and look at something from above
"The alchemy of heaven and earth" is a picture from my Alchemy seriesin which I combine (apparent) opposites and invite you to recognize that life consists of many different facets and that you can use this to your advantage.
This image invites you to never be stuck and only take one, fixed perspective, but to recognize that there are always many paths and possibilities. Sometimes it's about going into detail and sometimes it's more about recognizing the big picture and the connections behind it.
The painting was created in several layers with acrylic and oil paints.
