1. When and why did you start painting?
I started painting at the age of 19 because, in my childhood, I studied artistic painting at the School of Fine Arts. Since then I have liked plastic arts.
2. Which is your favourite time of the day to paint? How much time do you dedicate to painting?
I work 6 days a week from 7am to 3pm.
3. Of all your paintings, which is your favourite one? Why?
It’s something difficult to state as I try to do my best in each work I produce.
4. If you could reincarnate in an great master of art, who would you like to be?
I have no favorite artist, I like certain trends and especially Modern art, Conceptualism and Abstraction, with a touch of Surrealism, applied to paintings of the 20th and 21st centuries.
5. What are your sources of inspiration?
In the context of painting everything around us is important, and therefore any topic can be the inspiration at any time. It is always important to make sketches to reach a particular topic.
6. Of all the artistic movements, which one influences you more?
I think the Abstract and Fauvism movements have influences in any artist, not to mention the almost classical Surrealism of Salvador Dali.
7. What is art for you? Which role does it play in your life?
Both painting and sculpture are part of the decorative element, but the well proportioned stain and the abstraction in my works come together to create a work that in my life is a vice.
