Luis Seoane Foundation presents Toporgrafias, an exhibition of the boundless universe of French artist Roland Topor.
The exhibition is sponsored by Obra Social de Caja España and Obra Social de Caja Duero and is the first exhibition featuring Roland Topor in Spain for decades.
Topor was a novelist, writer, cartoonist, songwriter, playwright, occasional actor, producer, cartoon, cartoonist, set designer and costume designer, among many other activities throughout its whole existence.
Its multiplicity as a creator is represented in Toporgrafias, which shows part of his graphic work through a selection of prints, posters, books, magazines and audiovisual works. These works provide a coherent vision of an author who was admired by greatest artists of his time. Not surprisingly, Federico Fellini, to whom he held a series of drawings for his film Casanova, said that "(...) he was the last representative of those great illustrators like Daumier and Blake, Doré and Carlo Chiostri who were able to create an entire universe described to the smallest detail”.
