Fundación Mapfre (Madrid, Spain) presents the exhibition Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (1880-1938), which can be visited in the Salas Recoletos until September 2, 2012.
The exhibition, which features 153 works, includes paintings and works on paper and sculptures and explores in detail all the artist periods, radically renewing his traditional historiographic perception.
To complement the exhibition, visitors will see 35 modern copies of the photographs that documented Kirchner’s life and his creative process.
Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (1880-1938) is one of the leading representatives of German Expressionism, co-founder of the famous group Brücke (Bridge) in 1905, and one of the great architects of modernity.
