The Warhol Community

Fundación Banco Santander (Madrid, Spain) organizes, in the framework of PhotoEspaña 2012, From the Factory to the World. Photography and the Warhol Community, an exhibition that brings together over a hundred photographs by artists who passed through The Factory, including  Billy Name, Stephen Shore, Cecil Beaton, Richard Avedon or Christopher Makos. The show, which provides an intimate look at a community of vital importance to twentieth-century art, will be displayed at the Teatro Fernán Gómez.

From the Factory to the world is part of  PHE12, a photographic festival that will be holding over 70 exhibitions featuring the work of 315 artists, focusing on issues affecting the internationalization of art. PHotoEspaña has cut its budget by 25%. The public-private partnership model has been adapted to ensure a broad-based programme of exhibitions and activities.
