Science arrives to Museo del Prado

As part of the Science Week, which will take place from 5 to 18 November, the Museo del Prado offers the opportunity to visit one of its leading centers of research which is devoted to restoration and conservation works: the Office of Technical Documentation.

Located within the new building of the Museum developed by Rafael Moneo (Jerónimos building), this cabinet holds various technical studies as part of research projects and to support the restoration business through techniques such as radiography and infrared reflectography.

Visits to the technical documentation office, run by staff of the department itself will last approximately 60 minutes and will be conducted in groups of 20 people (total capacity: 100 people). Prior registration  can be made from October 22 to October 31 from 9 am to 14h at area.educacion@museodelprado.es.
