This artwork uses the withered, twisted branches to symbolize rigid beliefs passed down through generations—quiet yet powerful forces shaping families and the inner self. The three hanging birds, from large to small, represent three generations. Their similar postures highlight how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are unconsciously transmitted, limiting how each person learns to see the world.
The piece is not about blame, but about reflecting on intergenerational transmission: the patterns we inherit and repeat without noticing. Beyond the cages, the forest and sky remain vast. Becoming aware of these invisible limits is the first step to change. When we choose to observe, reflect, and open to new possibilities, the cycle can shift. May each generation find a freer path—and the courage to fly in its own direction.
