To show the evolution of telecommunications with a particular emphasis on telephony in Spain: that is the main objective of the exhibition The history of telecommunications organized by Espacio Fundación Telefónica (Madrid, Spain).

The Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA) presents Oferta publica / Public Tender, the first major presentation of Rita McBride’s work in Spain. In this exhibition, McBride re-examines the conceptual strategy made famous by Michael Asher in 1973 at his seminal exhibition at Galleria Toselli in Milan, where he sandblasted the gallery walls removing layer after layer of white paint to reveal its original pre-art brown patina.

The Museo del Prado (Madrid, Spain) will host this summer one of the most important exhibitions ever to be devoted to the work of Raphael (1483-1520) and his studio and the first to focus on the final phase in the artist’s career when he became the most influential painter in Western art.

To commemorate its opening, the Espacio Fundación Telefónica hosts the exhibition Telefónica’s Cubism Collection, which uses the work of Juan Gris to evoke the technological change context of vanguards, with paintings that are part of Telefónica’s most important art collections. The show is accommodated in the 4th floor of the building.

To mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the National Portrait Gallery hosts this landmark exhibition that brings together some of the most remarkable and resonant images of Elizabeth II made during her reign.
