Art exhibitions

Albrecht Dürer was the first German artist who already during his lifetime enjoyed wide recognition all over Europe. This is the first large exhibition, organized by The Germanisches Nationalmuseum (Nuremberg, Germany), devoted to Dürer’s early art and the circumstances of the young painter’s life which enabled his unique work.

The Museo Picasso (Barcelona, Spain) will run the exhibition Economy: Picasso, which aims to retrace the line of force implicit in the work and the trade in Picasso’s art in the landscape of current artistic practices.

The Albertina Museum (Viena, Austria) hosts an exhibition of its best collection of contemporary art, a selection of about 120 works from its extensive and ever-growing collection that will be running from May 26 to August 18, 2012.

The National Library of Spain, in collaboration with Spanish Cultural Action (AC / E) presents Other looks, an exhibition organized in commemoration of the tricentenary of the institution

To coincide with the celebrations of its 20th Anniversary, the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza (Madrid, Spain) has launched a range of activities and programmes that mark this important date. The museum shows the second in this series, entitled Faces and Hands: Old Master and Modern German Painting.
