The Museum of Modern Art MoMA (New York, USA) opens a new installation in the Contemporary Galleries, a chronological presentation of works from the collection made during the past 30 years. Furthering the historical sequence found on MoMA's fifth (1880-1940) and fourth (1940-1980) floors, the installation interweaves works from all of MoMA's curatorial departments to present a wide spectrum of contemporary art of the period.

The Museo del Prado, which turns 192 years on November 19, celebrates its anniversary with a varied program of activities. The celebration begins on Wednesday with the presentation of two monographs on the architecture of the museum, which was designed by architects Pedro Moleón and Rafael Moneo.

The New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art (USA) has reopened a suite of 15 dramatic New Galleries for the Art of the Arab Lands, Turkey, Iran, Central Asia, and Later South Asia. The enlarged, freshly conceived, and completely renovated galleries house the Metropolitan's renowned collection of Islamic art

The fourth exhibition presented by the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao (Spain), as part of the Laboratories: Insights into the Permanent Collection initiative, is dedicated to Aitor Ortiz (Bilbao, 1971), a visual artist known for using photography as a means of studying architecture and space and who explains us the project.

Mondrian & De Stijl have, from September, a permanent home base in the Netherlands with the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag dedicating an entire 750m2 wing to the artist and the movement.  Hans Janssen, chief curator of the museum, explains the project in detail.
