Esta pintura tiene una fuerte carga expresionista y abstracta. Los tonos dominantes son los cálidos: naranjas, rojos y amarillos, que transmiten una sensación de fuego, intensidad y movimiento. El trazo es enérgico y la textura espesa, casi escultórica, lograda con redes que generan relieve.
En medio del torbellino de color, se distinguen figuras que evocan velas de barcos, delineadas con trazos oscuros y reticulares, como si fueran atrapadas en una tormenta ardiente. La parte inferior sugiere un mar agitado, con olas densas y caóticas.
El cuadro transmite lucha, resistencia y dinamismo, como si los navíos intentaran abrirse paso en un océano de fuego.
