Biography

Passionate about painting, with a prolific career that includes the creation of approximately 200 physical works and another 200 digital ones.

My career is characterized by a constant search for innovation in the use of color and form, reflecting my commitment to artistic evolution and adaptability in various media.

I am dedicated to exploring new visual experiences that enrich my creative expression and add aesthetic value to each project I undertake.

About me

Passionate about color, fauvism and cubism, my intention is to transmit strong emotions to the observer. The idea is that no one remains indifferent looking at my paintings.

Currently, the use of colors aims to encourage the observer, to capture the deformation of objects to draw attention to them, achieving a balanced and stable composition that provokes calm, but at the same time an accumulation of emotions.

The range of colors I work with is very varied and complex, with interesting textures and striking visual effects.

The application of different layers and the combination of materials provides a unique depth and dimension to the work.

In each painting I start from scratch and its story can emerge as I develop it or be a final consequence of the work.

I started painting in 1978, at the same time I was studying Industrial Technical Engineering. This was an entertainment that was interrupted when I started working, so from then on I started painting only occasionally and always in oils.

During that time I painted around 30 paintings, approximately 10 of them large, I combined paintings of bright colors with others of darker colors, earth and brown, in which I always added some element in yellow.

We are talking about the 80s, when my inspiration came directly from the influence of the works of Picasso, Dalí, Matisse, Braque, Blanchard etc. which I admired mainly in the Museum of Modern Art in Madrid, which years ago moved to the Reina Sofía Museum of Modern Art. I gave most of those paintings to my family.

Later I moved to Tudela, in Navarra, where I submitted works to an important painting competition and attended private classes in 2000. In 2001 I was selected to participate in a painting workshop by Alejandro Quincoces in Tudela. This was about 20 years ago, from then on I stopped painting until, already retired, I felt the need to pick up the brush again and currently I attend painting classes with the painter from Tudela Carlos López.
