Art exhibitions

The Fine Arts Circle (Madrid, Spain) presents the photographs taken by Robert Capa, Gerda Taro and David 'Chim' Seymour during the Spanish Civil War, which had been lost without trace since 1939.

Following the success of the exhibitions that the organisations they represent have jointly organised in Spain in recent years, Isidre Fainé, president of ”la Caixa”, and Henri Loyrette, president and director of the Louvre Museum, have signed a new cooperation agreement to produce four more shows over the next four years.

Luis Claramunt. The Vertical Journey is the new exhibition organized by the Museum of Contemporary of Barcelona (MACBA). The show  features a broad selection of works produced by the artist in the period from the early seventies to the late nineties.

The Museo Picasso Málaga (Spain) opens to the public the room Picasso viewed by Otero, which displays a selection of 64 photographic images produced by Roberto Otero, an exceptional document of the last years of Pablo Picasso's life.

The first exhibition ever to be devoted to Symbolist Landscape will be the highlight of the Festival programme at the Scottish National Gallery in Edinburgh this summer. Van Gogh to Kandinsky: Symbolist Landscape in Europe 1880-1910 will bring together some 70 outstanding landscapes by 54 artists of the avant-garde.
