Abstract Drawings presents a selection of 46 works on paper from the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s (Washington, USA) permanent collection that are rarely on public display.

The Museo del Prado (Madrid, Spain) hosts, until September 30, the exhibition Eduardo Arroyo. The Mystic Lamb. The exhibition includes some of the working materials that the artist used, from the photographs that served as his starting point to the preliminary sketches and coloured drawings in which he analysed the iconography of each panel.

From June 29 to October 8, 2012, the Guggenheim Museum of New York will present Rineke Dijkstra: A Retrospective, an extensive midcareer survey and the first major exhibition of the artist's work organized by a North American institution. It is the most comprehensive museum exhibition of the artist's oeuvre to date.

One of the most influential Italian artists of the twentieth century, Alighiero Boetti (1940-1994) is subject of a major exhibition at MoMA (New York, USA). This retrospective has been organized in collaboration with the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid and the Tate Modern in London.

The Museo del Prado hosts Murillo and Justino de Neve. The Art of Friendship. This exhibition brings together a group of late works by Murillo that were commissioned by Justino de Neve.
