Art exhibitions

The Poldi Pezzoli Museum in Milan (Italy) hosts until next October 23, an exhibition by Omar Galliani in which the artist makes a personal reinterpretation of three masterpieces from the Italian Renaissance: Portrait of a woman by Pedro de Pollaiolo, Lamentation over the dead Chist by Sandro Botticelli and Imago Pietatis by Giovanni Bellini.

The Chilean Museum of Fine Arts hosts the exhitibion Degas sculptor. Impressions of modern life, which will be running until October 30. The show, presented in Chile for the first time, reunites 73 original bronzes that belong to the Sao Paulo Art Museum Assis de Chateaubriand MASP (Brazil) and that are considered the largest collection in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Bratislav City Gallery (Slovakian Republic) presents David LaChapelle: Lost and Found, an exhibition of the work portfolio of this renowned photographer, which is balanced among art, advertising aesthetics, commercial photography, fashion and audio-visual work.

The fourth exhibition presented by the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao (Spain) as part of the Laboratories: Insights into the Permanent Collection initiative is dedicated to Aitor Ortiz (Bilbao, 1971), a visual artist known for using photography as a means of studying architecture and space. 

"la Caixa" Social and Cultural Outreach Projects organises an exhibition about the Catalan architect Enric Sagnier i Villavecchia (1858-1931) a key element of the configuration of the Barcelona cityscape. Tibidabo, the Palau de Justícia, the new customs house in Barcelona and dozens of apartment buildings, churches and factories bear witness to the activity of the creator of over 400 buildings in the city.
