The Museo Picasso Málaga (Spain) presents Alberto Giacometti. A Retrospective, an exhibition that precisely reflects the different stages in the career of one of the outstanding artists of the last century. This is the first Giacometti retrospective to be held in Spain in more than 20 years, and it will bring together 198 artworks in the Palacio de Buenavista.
An exhibition of previously unseen works by US artist Richard Prince has made its world debut at the Museo Picasso Málaga (Spain). Over the last two years, the artist has painted canvases, along with a number of collages and photo-collages.
Pablo Picasso was well aware of photography's power to communicate, and from his early years had been interested in the medium, experimenting with it and exploring its possibilities. But, above all, he seems to have understood the importance of creating a public image, and the ability to sustain a cult of personality.
Ramón Casas, Jules Chéret, Fortunato Depero, Cassandre, Gustav Klucis, Vladimir Lebedev, Man Ray, Vladimir Maiakovski, Henri Matisse, Alexander Rodchenko and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec are just some of the almost ninety artists whose work can be seen in Museo Picasso Málaga’s new exhibition, The European Poster 1888-1938.
The Museo Picasso Málaga (Spain) opens to the public the room Picasso viewed by Otero, which displays a selection of 64 photographic images produced by Roberto Otero, an exceptional document of the last years of Pablo Picasso's life.
